PURPOSE: This course is designed to acquaint students with a variety of
services, sources, and systems available through the Evans Library. It emphasizes research strategies and tools
useful in each student’s field of study, as well as the use of other print and
electronic information resources. The
acquired skills and knowledge should enable students to find, evaluate, and use
information resources effectively in lifelong learning. (1 credit)

Attendance is required; more than two unexcused absences will result in
an “F” in the course. Unless excused, weekly assignments will be accepted on
the date due only.
