Florida's
Native Plants Display |
|
A display featuring materials on "Florida Native Plants" blossomed in the Library during April and May of 2002. According to the Suncoast Native Plant Society, Florida is home to over 2400 native plant species. The Evans Library offers books, periodical literature, government documents, and multimedia materials on these Florida-friendly plants, botanical identification, weed management, and related topics. |
| Native Florida plants can be found throughout the Florida Tech campus landscape. The 30-acre Botanical Garden consists of a wonderful palm collection that includes a number of native species. Native flowering plants, like the Hibiscus and Rhododendron Canescens, can be found around campus as well. |
